dear future

Hi so Sakura-Con happened. I cosplayed girls this year. It was new and interesting and PAINFUL because oh dear god heels are the worst and I never wear them ever so walking anywhere was death cries.

This costume is probably the most sewing-intensive outfit I have ever done. Funny, considering it doesn't cover much. The bodice has spiral steel stays along every seam so it's very snug and keeps things in and the skirt has about 15 metres of fabric alone in it between the satin, lining, and circular ruffles. The hat was an adventure in patterning and pretty much everything on it was hand sewn to look neat and tidy. I did so much hand sewing with this costume it's not even funny. About 30 hours worth, all said and done. I must secretly hate myself.

ANYWAYS I'm really happy with how this turned out and I love penguins and I love Himari and eeeeeeeee okay I'm done now.
